Sarah Tatum

“Work to live, don’t live to work” are the words I run my entire life by.
Getting to work with these three wonderful women every day. Without them, Tatum Accounting wouldn’t be where it is today and we wouldn’t be able to deliver the level fo service our clients deserve.
Delivering a relaxed approach to accounting for our clients and for clients to be able to focus on what brings them happiness. Education is a major passion of mine and I really enjoy using our brand and platform as a way to educate small business owners.
For me, life outside of TA looks like sitting on a sunny Florida beach with a drink or putting in hours of work on our Virginia hobby farm with my husband. We spend our days with our Great Dane, Schipperke, and three cats, who all make my heart happy. My numerous hobbies include knitting, crocheting, baking, cooking, volunteering in the community, and lounging in the pool.

Samantha Day

Happiness is a mindset, not a destination.
I really enjoy digging in and researching reconciliation issues. I’m really passionate about process improvements and finding better ways to be more efficient and accurate. My go-to motto is work smarter, not harder.
Helping & serving others. I’ve seen how small acts of kindness can make a huge difference and I want to reciprocate that for others.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography to capture and freeze moments in time, explore new places, and learn about diverse cultures. I also enjoy quality time with my partner, and cuddling our pets – Greyson, Benny, and Maggie.

I chose to work with Tatum Accounting because of the flexibility, being able to work with other businesses in the community, as well as working with someone like sarah who prioritzes a strong work-life balance for both her associates and clients.

Outside of the realm of numbers, I’m a passionate traveler, devoted wife, and proud dog mom. During the summers, you’ll often find me soaking up the sun on a boat, while in the winter, I’m happiest hitting the slopes on a ski hill.
